The Municipal Revenue Sharing (MRS) program is the Government of Saskatchewan’s revenue sharing plan with the municipal sector, linked to the performance of the province's economy. MRS provides predictable, no-strings-attached funding to eligible municipalities based on three-quarters of one point of PST revenue from two years prior. This funding has increased 167% provincially since 2007.
